Who's up
at 2AM?
Our lunch rush starts at midnight. These are the people we cook for.

Cab 41 · 1:40AM
Pepperoni and a coffee, eaten in the cab.

Ward 6 · 2:15AM
The familiar, on her one real break.

Line cook · 12:50AM
Two slices. Someone else cooked for once.

Last call · 2:45AM
A little heat, after the last glass is washed.

The window opens at nine.
The bakery on the corner used to switch its oven off at six. Then someone noticed the queue of cab drivers outside the hospital and kept it on. Now the window slides open at nine and stays open until the last slice goes, usually around three.
No tables, no reservations. A slice, a soda, and a number on a ticket.
